Our programs

We offer comprehensive programs in Ivrit (Hebrew language) and Jewish culture, for all levels and ages (5-18).

Top tier Hebrew education

Zehud isn’t a run-of-the-mill community Hebrew school. Our goal is to empower every Jewish child over the age of 5 to gain an immersive, pluralistic understanding of Hebrew, along with Jewish culture, identity, community, and rituals.

To do that, we’ve developed a comprehensive curriculum for every level of literacy, so your child will get the personalized attention they need and deserve.

Our team of professional teachers lead small group classes twice a week, with high levels of interactivity, engagement, and fun, while prioritizing our unique methodology and goal-oriented education.

Our curriculum

We offer immersive Hebrew language and Jewish education classes for every level and every child from the age of 5. Our curriculum includes:

  • We start with our original Hachana (preparatory) program for children who do not yet have basic Hebrew reading skills

  • Then we take children through iTaLAM’s curriculum (Levels 1-5)

  • Once a child has graduated beyond iTaLAM Level 5, we move them into Matach’s Bishvil Haivrit program, an advanced Hebrew course

Our process

Enrolling your child with Zehud is simple, convenient, and affordable. Here’s our process:

  1. Set up a call with Tal Bassali, Zehud’s Founder and Executive Director. You can set up a call here.

  2. You’ll fill out the application form and pay a non-refundable registration fee of €75.

  3. Your child will then meet with our Principal, Nina Solomon, who will assess their level and experience, ensuring they’re placed in the correct group.

  4. We run classes in the Fall semester and Spring semester, with short Winter and Spring breaks and a longer Summer break — just like a standard school year.

  5. Once enrolled, your child will be on a schedule of two live classes per week. We take attendance and participation very seriously, while making the experience fun and enjoyable for every child. Your child will have homework assignments between lessons.

  6. We meet for parent/teacher conferences twice a year, but we are in constant contact with our parents throughout the year to address any issues or update you on your child’s progress.
